The World at Large

Dragonlance is a world of high adventure. Good and evil are very much defined in the world. There is alot more of the classic roles of light and dark.

The year is 424AC, 41SC (AC = After Catyclism, SC = Summer of Chaos). It is a little over two years since the return of the gods, the downfall of Takheisis and Paladine walks the land as a mortal elf.

Following the brutal destruction of Kendermore at the hands of the Dragon Overlord Malystryx, some Kender have undergone a drastic personality change. Called Afflicted Kender, these kender have lost the joy in life, are serious somber and suspicious.

The Wizards of High Sorcery, the group who monitors and manages Arcane magic in the world are few and far between. With no (current) access to their Towers of High Sorcery they have no base of operations. Indeed they are without a leader for the White Robes which means there is no true conclave. The search for a leader for the White Robes continues, as does the search for a way into one of the two remaining towers.

Sorcerers are new to the world, having been born from the era where there were no moons and thusly no gods of magic to grant arcane power. They draw their power from the lands around them. Many traditional "Tower Mages" feel this is an aberration of magic and should be looked down upon. There is an uneasy tension between the two factions.

Both races of Elves have lost their homelands. Qualinost was buried under a lake of death, while Silvanesti has been conquered by the Minotaurs.

Ogres have discovered a magical transformation which allow them to become Ogre Titans. Making the beautiful and refined, similar to an elf's. Over 15 feet tall, muscular and with magical prowess. The ritual required to make a Titan costs the blood of 10 elves. To maintain the transformation needs only the blood of a single elf, who need not die, but instead is bled regularly.

The Solomnic Knights have lost control of Palanthas to the Dark Knights. Solanthus, while freed of the Dark Knights control, have declared themselves neutral and will not submit to either faction. The headquarters is currently located on the isle of Sancrist at Castle Uth Wistan.
