Commanders Log - Stardate 20001016 "Episode 001 - The UTE Shatner"
Today I reported for duty onboard the UTE Shatner. It's a Patrol Boat of
some age. However, I am confident that recent refits have brought it up to
date. I will have to keep an eye out for problems...
My orders are to take the ship to the Eridu 2 Starbase in the Ascella
system, where we will receive our new Captain, an officer of little
experience, but that has risen through the ranks quickly.
Once onboard, I met with several of the Command staff, including our
Chief Engineer and resident PSI Inspector. The Inspector's reputation precedes
himself, as a very potent Psychokinetic. Yet another example of why our
registration program must be upheld. I appreciate him being on our side.
The Chief seems an interesting man, already examining our systems for
improvement. His methods seem unconventional, but they seem to have done
him well.
After getting status reports from the crew, I put to space, taking the ship to
the edge of the system, where we made the jump to Hyperspace. All seemed to be
going as normal when we intercepted a distress call from inside Hyperspace.
The call was from a derelict freighter that had been overdue in our destination
system for several weeks. As per UTE standing procedures, we went to
investigate. Upon arrival, we contacted the Captain of the Freighter, and
discovered that they had been infested with a fungus of some sort.
Not wanting to endanger the ship, we shuttled over and had the inspector move
us into the ship. When we arrived, we negotiated our way to the bridge. On our
way we had to deal with a crew member who seemed to be possessed by the fungus.
In the ensuing struggle, Chief was infected by the fungus, which quickened our
pace. Upon finding the bridge, Engineer Samuel began cutting through the seal.
Unfortunately for Samuel, we were assaulted when we broke through the seal, and
we lost Samuel. The bridge was a gory scene. The captain had killed his
shipmates, and gone crazy. Before he was able to murder any more of our crew,
I dealt him a blow, just before the Inspector dealt with him.
Having no crew remaining, we retreated to the Shatner, and discovered a way to
remove the fungus. It ends up it was a rarely encountered fungus from old Earth
history. "Mir Fungus" was it's classification. We were able to recover the
cargo from the freighter, however the ship was unrecoverable. We
‘decommissioned' the ship.
With that, we set back towards the Starbase, where we now await the arrival of
our new Captain, and our new orders.

Commanders Log - Stardate 20001023 "Episode 102 - Transitions"
Today we reported in to Captain Duff onboard the Eridu 2 Starbase. During our
briefing, we met up with Captain Connor, as well as received the rest of our
crew. After a short meeting, we received our orders - To travel to the
Ascella 3 Space Station to do a routine transfer of prisoners to Eridu 1.
After reporting back to the Shatner, the Captain and I did the customary
transfer of command, and we put underway.
During my off hours, I supervised the bridge crew to see how the night shift
was doing, and then retired to my quarters. There I set upon the task of
setting up my map of this system. And interesting system, with 3 asteroid
belts, and several large planets that contain many moons. I can see how the
system could need another Patrol Boat, what with the vast area to control.
We put into Ascella 3 and reported to the Security Office. There we received
the rundown on the Prisoners we were to transfer. They were the typical lot
of rogues and miscreants. However, among them was one unregistered PSI. As he
is of yet undocumented, all precautions has been taken to secure him on our
flight. One note that came from Station Security was that he is believed to be
associated with one of the Pirate groups in this system, the Corsairs of the
White Rose... The inspector has put it to himself to discover all he can before
his put before PSIS. (Psionic Security and Intelligence Service)
All has gone well so far this trip. We are approaching the Asteroid belt, and
should be beyond it in no time...
"Boom! Boom! Boom! All hands to Battle Stations!"

Commanders Log Supplemental "Episode 103 - Corsairs of the White Rose"
Today we met the Corsairs of the White Rose, and our first defeat. Upon approaching
the asteroid belt, we were attacked by a Starship of equal size. While engaging
this ship, we were boarded by a second. We were boarded through our main docking
port, as well as a secondary breach.
We deployed our troops to meet both points, but were outnumbered at both
encounters. After being pushed past, I organized a counter assault. During our
delay, the pirates attained entrance to the Brig. During the assault, their
leader, employing a personal cloaking device, disabled the Inspector.
However, before they could retreat with Modus, I arrived with my reinforcements.
Their leader and I exchanged gunfire, with myself winning the initial encounter.
With his weapons disabled, he charged me with some sort of bladed weapon protruding
from his battle suit. While I was able to penetrate his helmets shielding, I was
unsuccessful in dealing the final blow, before he knocked me out with a blow to
my arm.
When I awoke, the battle was over and we had managed to disable the second ship
that was not cloaked. The ship with their leader and Modus escaped.

Commanders Log - Stardate 20001106 "Episode 104 - Where to Now?"
After arriving at Eridu 1, we gave over command of the captured starship to the
planet authorities. At the same time we transferred our cargo of prisoners.
Upon successful transfer, we set back for Eridu 2 Station for repairs and to await
further instructions.
After the Inspectors Surgery to repair his voice box was completed, we were debriefed
by Master Chief Dalmar. We were instructed to do whatever was necessary to break up the
Pirate Activity in the system. We then retired to our ships briefing room to discuss
our next course of action...

Commanders Log - Stardate 20001113 "Episode 105 - Questions & Answers"
Upon receiving a message from Eridu 1, we shuttled there. We were met with reports
from the interrogations which occurred. The Warden filled us in on what was discovered.
Apparently all of the crew were relativly new to the ship, with the longest only being
stationed there for a month. Through several sources, the Interigators were able
to extract the coordinates of their secret base of operations. Also of note was
the fact that in the last few months they have been conducting kidnappings of
younger aged people.
In addition to the information gathered, we were also showed a clip of Captain
Vilner from the Starship we captured. Durring his interrogation, he mannaged to
activate a bomb which was implanted in his head to prevent us from discovering
his secrets. He mannaged to take one of the interregators with him.
With this information, we headed back to our ship, where we sent out a request
for assistance from another Patrol Boat. We also loaded up with a double
complement of Marines. When all were aboard and repairs complete, we set
course for the 2nd Asteroid belt, and the Corsairs of the White Rose...
Upon rendevous with the other Patrol Boat, we set out for the Base. After it
had entered visual range, we launched our fighters. About the same time, we
noticed an energy buildup, but before we could determine what it was, we were
hit by a large energy weapon. In the blast we lost half of our reactor power,
and thusly our shields. We countered with our weapons, and destroyed it.
With no other offense on the outside, we deployed our troop carriers and
followed them in. We found the base recently deserted, as per our guesses.
We proceeded into the inner chambers. Once there we were inside, a large
viewscreen displayed the General of their forces. He seemed rather upset, as
the Captain who committed suicide in the prison, was his brother. When he
was finnished ranting, one of the larger boxes exploded, and a BG-A55 Battle
Droid came after us. We advanced on it, but were knocked back repeatedly. I
suffered a major blow, and fell unconcious. Between the Inspector and the
Marines, they were able to defeat the Droid.
A note for my logs, to monitor Chief Oshin's actions durring away missions,
as he was quick to flee in this encounter...
